Course Description

The aim is to show a student the grass-root level of founding a luxury business by putting them at the heart of complex situations. The curriculum is designed in a way that it provides insight to all different business verticals - design thinking and innovation, research and development, branding and marketing, distribution channels, sales and finance. The curriculum will be built on real-time recent case studies and will be taught by industry experts. The online course will have immersive eLearning simulations and each class activity will be a step closer to formulating the final the Capstone project.

We'll familiarise you with the rules and protocols of the luxury industry in this module. The topic will help you visualise the topography of the luxury market, understand its merits and identify business opportunities.

Branding is an exciting topic. Luxury branding is even hotter. The topics covered in this module are elements of luxury branding, differences between luxury branding & mass branding, and branding trends

Crafting creative brand strategies is key to a successful business. It'll help you stay in the limelight and differentiate your product in a competitive market. Apart from studying strategies, we'll also talk about the role of technology, AI & blockchain in the field of luxury.

Your distribution strategy can make or break the brand. Using the wrong distribution channels can lead to your beautiful product going unnoticed, forcing you to take a hit on sales and shut shop.

In this module, we'll discuss common distribution-related mistakes and ways to avoid them. Simultaneously, we'll shine light on some of the best practices both in the context of the Indian and International markets.

Marketing strategies influence brand perception. This module touches upon the rules of luxury marketing. Marketing a luxury brand in India differs from doing it in a western country.

Topics of study include - decoding landmark strategies, understanding the differences between marketing channels, and use of PR strategies to improve brand visibility.

To be able to put your finger on what the customer wants is half the battle won. We'll study the behaviour patterns of Indian consumers who spend on luxury. We'll also uncover ways to use CRM and CSR activities to build a favourable image of the brand.

Understanding bookkeeping is one of the basic requirements to run a profitable business. Here, we'll look at budgeting, analysing company financials and other number-crunching activities.

Discussing case studies will help you retain the learnings of this coursework. Breaking down case studies will also help you understand how to work through real-time problems and avoid corners that hamper business growth.
